Altec, Premier Document Management Solution Provider, Releases doc-link 3.1.1 with Focus on Mobile Capture and Smart Form Attachments

The latest release of a popular integrated document management solution features robust enhancements that support its users and their ever-growing mobile workforces.

Laguna Hills, CA — June 28, 2016 — Altec Products, Inc., the leader in document management and workflow solutions, announced today the much anticipated release of doc-link 3.1.1 which includes enhanced mobile capabilities and expanded features for the Smart Form Toolkit, a module unique to doc-link that allows for document creation and customized document processing. These upgrades aim to provide convenient and efficient options for an increasingly mobile workforce.

The doc-link 3.1.1 expansion pack means users can upload files or pictures directly into doc-link from their mobile devices. It is an easy way to capture and secure documents as soon as they’re received. Whether a user is collecting receipts immediately, taking photos at a job site or simply uploading files while away from their desk, mobile capture makes it simple.

The ability to link documents to individual detail lines on another document was a direct result of customer feedback during the development cycle. The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) was excited about the ability to capture receipts easily but linking those receipts to expense reports and credit card statements needed to be simplified. With the doc-link 3.1.1 expansion pack, NAMM’s users can now link receipts to individual charges to make the review process much easier. Derek Murphy, Controller at NAMM, provided valuable customer feedback during the 3.1.1 controlled release process and stated, “Participating in the 3.1.1 controlled release has been fantastic; it’s a real partnership. Altec heard our concerns, came back with their ideas, and now we get something that will really work for us.”

Merri Jo Cleair, Product Manager at Altec, states, “We are committed to providing our customers with additional options that strengthen their current doc-link user experience.” She adds, “With today’s workforce being increasingly mobile and having greater needs for remote work, doc-link Mobile now offers this enriched functionality to make the capture and use of information easy.”

Mark Ford, CEO at Altec, states, “With this new release, we are continuing to invest in doc-link’s architecture and accessibility for our customers. We believe our users will be thrilled with the new enhancements in expansion pack 3.1.1 and how they augment the user experience.”

doc-link 3.1.1 is available to customers currently on version 3.1 and will require additional configuration for all of the new features. Altec’s Professional Services team is at the ready for configuration and training needs.
