Looking Back on Sage Summit 2014

If you were one of the 5,000+ attendees of Sage Summit, you might still be recovering from a busy, productive week at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas for the annual conference. We are too! Hopefully you stayed cool on the tradeshow floor, at breakout sessions or listening to the stellar lineup of keynote speakers. We sure enjoyed mingling with Sage users, prospects, resellers and partners at events and at our booth, #1223.

As the endorsed document management solution provider for Sage 100 ERP, Sage 300 ERP and Sage 500 ERP, we hosted two breakout sessions. The first, “Go Paperless & Go Mobile with Sage ERP Document Management,” provided information on how to go paperless and work leaner, faster and more effectively with Sage ERP Document Management. The second, “Go Paperless with Sage ERP Document Management by Altec,” profiled “a day in the life of” various employees throughout organizations, identifying their typical paper-related inefficiencies and showcasing how an integrated document management solution would eliminate those issues.

Both were well attended by businesses demonstrating a curiosity in and need for a document management solution—our theater session had standing room only! Many of these attendees later visited the Altec team, asking questions and requesting personal product demonstrations. We were happy to see that this consistent demand for information on document management solutions at the breakout sessions paralleled the heavy traffic we received at the booth too.

Our team had long days interacting with attendees at our booth, but that doesn’t mean we retired early every night. On July 29th, Avalara hosted a Roaring Twenties “Flappers and Fedoras” party. Attendees donned stylish attire from the decade and Altec had a blast with new and old friends. The party provided a great opportunity for partners, customers and ISVs to be social in a non-work environment. Then, on July 31st, Altec joined the other Summit attendees for a fantastic closing party and concert by Neon Trees. It was the perfect way to celebrate the conclusion of such a successful week. As always, we are grateful for the many opportunities had at Sage Summit to connect with you. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
