Having a Ball: Altec Goes Bowling to Celebrate 30th Birthday

Happy 30th birthday to us! Earlier in the month, Altec held a company birthday party. Cake and punch were enjoyed as we reflected on the many customers, partners and employees—past and present—who have played integral roles in our journey. Our success over the years has been a direct result of these people, and we thank them for their support. Altec CEO, Mark Ford, also shared inspirational words about the company’s strong growth and bright future, commemorative t-shirts were distributed and then we set off to bowl!

The Tacoma office gears up for their eventual win!

Excitement was in the air as both the Tacoma and Laguna Hills offices participated in Altec’s annual bowling tournament. We bonded over spares, strikes, gutter balls and onion rings; there were surprises, both good and bad; and we got creative (like the injured participant who bowled with her opposite hand—and did pretty well). Even for those who did not bowl and instead cheered on, the event was a delight to behold.

In the end, the Tacoma office did not have to part ways with their prized pin. Congratulations to team “Got Bigger Balls” who again won with a high score of 145.2. Still, the Laguna Hills office was proud of teammates on “The Pin is Coming Home,” whose average score was 144.2. So close! The gap between the two offices has been closing; maybe next year will be California’s year.

California did have the highest individual scorer, Director of Sales Kevin Dudevoir. He scored an impressive 188.

At the end of the day, those of us without high scores went home on a high note wearing our “Altec: 30 Years of Success” t-shirts with pride. Until next year!
