What was your first job?

My first paid gig was as the neighborhood lawn boy!  I used to wake up early every Saturday morning and would get paid $5 per lawn!  But my first official job was at a local restaurant joint called Ballpark Pizza where, as a pizza maker, I learned how to hand-toss pizzas.

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

When I saw the movie Cocktail way back when I immediately thought that living somewhere tropical, like the Bahamas, would be amazing, so that’s where I’d be because it’s always sunny, beautiful and fun.  I’m always envious of my co-workers who get to visit tropical locations for work – my co-worker Patrick got to attend a conference in the Caribbean last year!

What do you like best about working at Altec?

I love that we have a great product – DocLink truly helps companies be more effective.  And I really enjoy the people at Altec, it’s a great group that works together really well.

What is your favorite activity to do outside of work?

I love being a Dad, I have two kids, ages 11 and 6, and my favorite thing right now is coaching their baseball and soccer sports teams.  I played basketball in college, so I was obviously knowledgeable in that, but with my kids I’ve had the opportunity to learn the intricacies of two new sports and it’s a blast seeing them each doing something active that they enjoy.

What’s the most challenging thing about your job?

Definitely balancing all the moving parts can be difficult at times…partner relationships, sales cycles, travel, customer development, etc.  Every day is different but I enjoy tackling new challenges.

What is your favorite thing about your career?

Honestly, I’m just generally happy with my career as whole.  I enjoy what I do, the people I work with, the travel I get to do.  I really like and appreciate every aspect of being a sales person.

If you could have a conversation with any person living or deceased, who would it be and why?

Definitely my Dad.  He passed away suddenly when I was 23, and he never got to see me grow up and mature with a wife and kids.  I’d love to be able to know that he sees all that we do.

What would you sing at karaoke night?

Definitely California Love by Tupac and Dr. Dre!  I would have never thought this before being at a piano bar one night and watching these two middle-aged men get up and seriously nail it!  But now I figure that if they can do it, so can I!

What makes you laugh the most?

Definitely human bloopers…idiotic human behavior can be maddening for sure but it can also be extremely amusing!

If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be?

I would want a day of being lazy, on a boat in the ocean all by myself so I could just nap and hang out.

What is your favorite meal?

Homemade chicken and dumplings for sure!  And not the Bisquick variety, homemade like my Grandma used to make!

If you were a super hero, what powers would you have?

I would like to have Jedi senses for predicting the future so I could win the lotto!

What was the last thing you recorded on TV?

The First 48.
