Business Development Representative


We are seeking an enthusiastic Business Development Representative to join our growing Marketing team. If you are a motivated, talented and dedicated person, we want to hear from you. You will be responsible for identifying companies (at both the enterprise & mid-market level), teams, and individuals that could be interested in our software/services – with the primary goal of initiating the active sales cycle though a combination of targeted outreach and inbound lead management. Sharing success amongst the team members are a must quality we are looking for.

Job Responsibilities

  • Achieve individual sales targets. Follow up on inbound marketing leads and identify qualified opportunities providing appropriate levels of information at the right time for interested prospects
  • Be responsible for educating and developing prospects leading to hand-off to sales team
  • Cold call into prospects generated by variety of outside sources
  • Set appointments for the sales team when a lead reaches a qualified stage
  • Drive attendance for webinars and live seminars, set meetings for conferences
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing team members on strategic sales approach
  • Ensure successful follow through of sales cycle by maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification information in CRM application
  • Perform any other tasks that is needed at the time to help out the team


  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university required
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Cold call into prospects generated by variety of outside sources
  • Outgoing, friendly and determined person
  • B2B Enterprise Sales Experience and Channel Sales Experience good to have
  • Excellent phone & email communication skills
  • Track record of achieving personal and team goals
  • Proficiency in using CRM
  • Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills
  • Desire to learn and grow
  • Extremely self-motivated with a diligent work ethic
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Minimum 8 hours per week (20-40 calls per day) of telephone activity
  • Attendance and punctuality. Working hours are 8am PT to 5pm PT
  • Involvement in weekly meetings where you will recap the previous work and talk about a few successful calls or activities that happened
  • Bulk of phone activity centered on follow up calls with Prospects and calling into any given list 6 times minimum
  • Attain or exceed all defined metric driven quotas
  • Remain knowledgeable and up to date with the product
