Altec’s April: Looking Back at Envision, TPAC, ITA & Insights

April was quite the busy month for Altec, with four major conferences in the span of three weeks! All agree that the hours spent mid-air were definitely worth it: our team has returned with a clear vision on how to put our learned insights and feedback to use to benefit our customers and partners.

We kicked off the month by attending Microsoft Envision as a Silver Sponsor. Envision took place April 4th – 8th in New Orleans, and we are excited to have taken part in this inaugural conference.

With one theater session on Certified for Microsoft Dynamics (CfMD) document management solution DocLink, a booth equipped with demo stations and fun networking activities such as the Train concert, we were able to meaningfully connect with Microsoft users, employees, partners and our own customers. Next year’s event will take place in our backyard, so you can count on seeing Altec in Los Angeles for #Env17.

Next up was the Third Party Advantage Conference (TPAC) which Altec attended as a Bronze Sponsor from April 10th through 13th in Richmond, British Columbia.

While in Canada, Altec was able to meet with some of the Sage team. As the Sage endorsed document management and workflow solution provider, this was an invaluable opportunity for us to get in face-to-face interaction and strategize for the remainder of 2016.

We also spent time with the Sage partner community. TPAC always provides an excellent environment for Altec to share with Sage resellers how they can take advantage of the Sage channel’s high demand for document management solutions to build their own business. The numbers speak for themselves. Altec gained 76% sales growth over the previous year with users of Sage ERP software. #GoingPaperless is clearly in, providing improved visibility and control as well as a quick return on investment (ROI)!

From April 17th through 19th, Altec attended The Information Technology Alliance (ITA) Spring Collaborative in Houston. A six-year member and proud ITA Alliance Partner member, Altec is grateful for the unique opportunities ITA provides – chances to candidly share business practices, successes and failures with technology professionals, consultants and product/service providers.

Unlike some conferences, the breakout sessions at ITA are must-dos for all! Most sessions are put on by the talented ITA members themselves who present on a variety of relevant and creative topics. Altec had the great pleasure of helping to lead multiple sessions this collaborative, and we also enjoyed listening to our peers from other ISVs and VARs (such as those pictured above) share their expertise.

Altec’s final show of the month was Epicor Insights 2016, spanning April 17th through 20th in Las Vegas, NV. We sent a large crew because – as always – it was a busy event, bustling with Epicor employees, users, partners and our customers!

With seamless integration to Epicor solutions, DocLink allows companies to go paperless to boost business productivity in any department and any process. A Silver Sponsor, Altec led two breakout sessions on document management. The full sessions were attended by engaged participants.

It should come as no surprise that a conference in Las Vegas featured “play” in addition to work. Altec employees enjoyed cocktails with the sharks in the Seascape Ballroom at a special reception hosted by Epicor Platinum Partner Encompass as well as a memorable closing performance by the band Train (yes, some of us saw them twice!).

Now that we’re back in the office, furnished with innovative business ideas, new partnerships and fun memories, we thank all the folks we spent time with the past few weeks and look forward to shared successes in 2016!
