#AltecGives Celebrated Earth Day by Supporting Our Customer, Yosemite Conservancy

Yesterday marked the 49th official celebration of Earth Day, which was founded as a day of education about environmental issues.  Inspired by the protests of the 1960s, Earth Day began as a “national teach-in on the environment” and is held on April 22 to maximize the number of students that could be reached on university campuses.  This year Earth Day was celebrated by more than 193 countries worldwide!

As a document management company, our business naturally promotes the movement to “go green” with a focus on helping companies make a digital transformation by going paperless.  But we know it takes more than just getting rid of paper, and are always looking for ways to support environmental issues.  For this reason we are celebrating one of our national treasures, Yosemite National Park.

Yosemite, as with all national parks, was created with the long-term intention to protect the majestic space, leaving it unimpaired for the enjoyment for everyone now, and in the future.  Home to famous sites such as El Capitan and Half Dome, Yosemite is visited by over 4 million people annually and there’s so much to learn about!  Yosemite is situated between our Laguna Hills and Tacoma offices, and many of our employees have enjoyed hiking and camping there.

As part of our #AltecGives campaign, and in celebration of Earth Day, Altec has made a donation to the Yosemite Conservancy.  A DocLink customer since 2018, the Yosemite Conservancy is an organization focused on preserving the park for future generations by maintaining Yosemite’s trails, habitat, wildlife and much more.

If you’d like to learn more about the Yosemite Conservancy, or to join Altec in making a donation, please visit their website.  And contact us if you are interested in learning how your company can go green by going paperless with DocLink!
