Altec Successfully Hosts Final 2020 Virtual Customer Training Class Last Week

Every Advanced Admin Training (AAT) class we hold brings together a diverse group of people with one definite similarity – their goal to become DocLink super users, and last week’s session didn’t disappoint!

The sold-out class included both new and seasoned DocLink users. One attendee had just been hired and was receiving an extensive DocLink education, while the remaining customers had between 1-9 years of DocLink experience. Customers also participated from various locations. Several work in essential industries so were attending from their offices, and others have been working from home since March. In fact, one customer mentioned they will permanently be working from home.

Our experienced DocLink trainers Cathy Champlin, Support Manager, and John Claiborne, Senior Software Engineer, instructed customers on the many powerful facets of DocLink. The 5-day, 22-hour course  covered a variety of topics including ERM capture, import and output managers, auditing, security and workflow.

The most requested topics of interest continues to be DocLink’s remote capabilities.  With no end in sight for the pandemic, companies are laser focused on better supporting their in-office and remote workforces long-term. Attendees have commented that both the AAT content and networking opportunities with other DocLink customers has been extremely helpful, providing tools they can take back to their companies to address their remote workforce initiatives.

One of the most significant benefits of the virtual session continues to be our use of a cloud environment for the classroom. Cathy and John were able to provide live troubleshooting, with the ability to log on remotely into customers’ sites. Other customers then got the opportunity to see and learn from their real-world situations.

Cathy stated, “We’ve always really enjoyed teaching these classes, so when we made a format change to go virtual, we were concerned that our customers wouldn’t get everything they wanted and needed online. But just last week one of our attendees commented that the way we’ve adapted the classes, with attendees able to see John and I via video, combined with the real-time troubleshooting we provide, made it feel like in-person classroom training. We’re thrilled our customers are getting so much out of AAT, and we look forward to more successful virtual sessions next year.”
