Altec Enjoyed the Beautiful Backdrop of Dubai at the Sage Enterprise Management Partner Summit

An Altec contingent flew across the globe last week to attend the Sage Enterprise Management Partner Summit in Dubai, and the team was transfixed both by the city itself and the excellent program Sage hosted during the 3-day event.

After a full 24 hours of travel and some down time to adjust to the time change, the team started their week by visiting a local customer, a large construction company based on Dubai.  The company uses DocLink for capturing documents and routing for approvals which has provided increased visibility into their accounts payable department.  The Altec team appreciated the opportunity to see how Doclink was being used by the company, and spent some time on-site to help them get the most out of their solution.

The Summit kicked off Tuesday morning with several strong keynotes.  Blair Crump, President of Sage emphasized their commitment to their products and the industry.  He focused on sharing with partner attendees how Sage’s business is transforming.  Mark Fairbrother, EVP, Product Engineering, Enterprise Management Suite and Robert Sinfield, VP Product Enterprise Management Suite, followed Blair, focusing more specifically on the what, how and why the company is investing their time and resources accordingly.  Wednesday’s keynote was delivered by John Barrows, professional sales trainer and consultant, who discussed the keys to delivering more value to customers by evolving how to think about partnerships, marketing and sales.

The team spent much of each day on the exhibit floor, meeting with current partners, and providing demos to potential partners, and making/solidifying connections with Sage’s management team and other personnel in product development, product management, and sales from around the world.  Additionally, each day the Altec team attended a variety of sessions that provided relevant content focused on how to get the most out of being a Sage partner.

But Sage made sure the event wasn’t all work.  On Wednesday morning Altec participated in the Sage Foundation Fun Run 5K with over 150+ other registrants!  The Foundation’s goal is to raise $2 million by 2022 and this 5K was held to raise funds for Sage’s global non-profit partner, Junior Achievement, an organization that teaches young people entrepreneurial skills.  Check out a short video of the run here. On Wednesday evening the team attended the Sage Beach Party, a networking event at this lively celebration nestled between the iconic Burj al Arab and Jumeirah Beach hotels.

The Summit overall was an excellent opportunity for Altec personnel to connect with so many different people about how Altec can work even better with Sage to the benefit of our combined customers.  We’re looking forward to attending next year’s event in Orlando!
