ALTEC ANNOUNCES RELEASE OF DOC-LINK 2.2; INTEGRATED DOCUMENT
MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE FOR MID-MARKET COMPANIES
Laguna Hills, Calif., February 14, 2005 - Altec,
a leading provider of accounting-centric Integrated Document Management solutions, today announced the release of doc-link version 2.2. Doc-link, the company's flagship product, provides seamless integration to the popular mid-market financial accounting packages and allows for the paperless processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales order processing and other accounting and non-accounting enterprise applications.
This release provides doc-link users with web-based client functionality. It allows for the search, retrieval and routing of business documents, remote approval and workflows that support business process management.
Mark Tague, Altec's Chief Technology Officer, said, Doc-link 2.2 builds upon significant engineering and usability enhancements that have been made in our past two releases. Our customers are able to cost effectively have their remote locations review and place a stamp of approval on business transactions, then route to the next approver and automatically save it in the doc-link image repository all via the web.
In addition, the doc-link Remote Client module allows web search and retrieval and will now enable employees, customers, and vendors to view, save, print, email as attachments, and download documents from the doc-link repository regardless of their location.
Remote users can connect to a web page, download the necessary Remote Client application files, and quickly get started viewing documents. Software updates are installed automatically when the user logs into the system thereby reducing IT staffing needs and the total cost of application ownership.
Release 2.2 is available for all integrated accounting solutions including Epicor Software applications, Best Software applications, Microsoft Business Solutions and SAP Business One.
