ALTEC ANNOUNCES RELEASE OF DOC-LINK™ 2.1 INTEGRATED DOCUMENT
MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE FOR MID-MARKET COMPANIES

LAGUNA HILLS, Calif., April 20, 2004 — Altec, a leading provider of accounting-centric Integrated Document Management solutions, today announced the release of doc-link version 2.1.  This release provides doc-link users with enhanced functionality.  The major new features include a drag and drop workflow tool, enhanced application integration capabilities and automatic printing of supporting documentation.

With release 2.1, a new Workflow Configuration Tool is now available that simplifies the creation and modification of workflow.  New reports have also been added to help monitor workflow configuration and statistics.  Doc-link’s drag and drop workflow enables Administrators to easily and efficiently create and modify workflow processes.  “The ease of graphically mapping the process flow between workflow statuses is a major benefit of the 2.1 release,” states Mark Tague, CTO of Altec.

Release 2.1 significantly streamlines the ability to integrate to modules of an application.  Application fields within the business application can be easily and quickly mapped to doc-link properties. Tague continued, “Our integration capabilities with mid-market accounting systems is yet another key differentiator for us. We can deploy and support doc-link at a lower cost than our competition and do it right the first time.”

Doc-link’s Output Manager module now automates not only the printing of documents and their supporting documentation, but also carries out the automatic distribution via email, fax, FTP and file copy.  Businesses that need to provide supporting documents, such as a proof of delivery for payment or to ensure regulatory compliance (hazardous materials, safety and certification documentation, for example), can experience significant savings in time and money by eliminating the need to retrieve and collate the necessary documents.  Doc-link’s ability to automate the delivery of key and supporting documents not only improves productivity and reduces costs, but ensures the adherence of industry regulations.  Release 2.1 is available for all integrated accounting solutions  including Epicor Enterprise, Best Software applications, Microsoft Business Solutions and SAP Business One.
