ALTEC ANNOUNCES RELEASE OF DOC-LINK™ 2.0 INTEGRATED DOCUMENT
MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE FOR MID-MARKET COMPANIES
With doc-link 2.0, companies can now capture, workflow, archive and automatically distribute invoices, reports and other documents to employees, vendors
and customers based on their unique requirements.
LAGUNA HILLS, Calif., Oct. 7, 2003 - Altec, a leading provider of accounting-centric
Integrated Document Management solutions, today announced the release of doc-link 2.0, their
next generation suite of products for the mid-market. “The newly released version built on .NET
architecture will enable us to expand our product offerings as well as move up market due to
our new levels of scalability and extensibility,” said Mark Tague, Chief Technology Officer for
Altec.Enhancements to the company’s flagship product, doc-link include additional user security
options, greater flexibility in configuring work flow and email alert notifications triggered
frompre-identified business conditions. An outlook type user interface has been added along
with enhanced document routing and output options.
Doc-link’s 2.0 Output Manager is designed for the automatic routing of business documents to
pre-configured recipients. Each recipient can be individually configured to meet his or her own
preferences including a personalized cover sheet and method of the output (email, fax, FTP or
print) and format of the document (TIFF, XML, HTML, CSV). Documents can be batched or sent
individually. Now employees, vendors and customers can take delivery of data and documents
based on the recipient’s unique preferences or requirements. Output Manager administers the
output task from any application and can be configured as a stand-alone product for enterprise
applications or as the core output management software included in doc-link’s 2.0 suite of
products currently integrated with Epicor, Best Software, Microsoft Business Solutions and SAP
Business One users.
