Altec was established in
1985, as a subsidiary of Epicor Software Corporation
with the charter to market document solutions to new
and existing software installations. In its early days,
Altec's document solutions consisted of software compatible
forms and electronic check printing applications.
Taken private in 1994, Altec expanded
its focus to include other software alliance partners,
most notably
Sage Software Corporation and Microsoft Business Solutions
Software with the goal to provide technology driven
print solutions to the markets these companies serve.
In 2000, Altec acquired Brook Hollow, Inc, a document
imaging company in order to expand its document solutions
to include integrated document management (IDM) solutions
to enable mid-market companies to begin their migration
to paperless transaction processing. Most companies
begin their migration in accounts payable where traditional
paper processes hamper productivity and communication.
Altec offers modular and scalable solutions from entry
level AP applications to enterprise wide systems for
virtually any department that wishes to eliminate paper
and enhance work processes.
Today, Altec is an international company
with 13,000 customers and is positioned as the dominant
supplier
of IDM solutions and paper based systems in the markets
it serves. Altec has integrated solutions for SAP
Business One Software, Epicor Enterprise, Platinum For Windows by
Sage, MAS 500, MAS 200 and MAS 90, Microsoft Business
Solutions including Great Plains, Enterprise, Dynamics,
Solomon, and Navision.
